Midway Moving & Storage Signs Bulls' Tyrus Thomas

The agreement strengthens Midway's reputation as Chicago's hometown mover and represents the company's commitment to excellence.

Tyrus Thomas was traded to the Bulls in 2006 after being selected in the first round (fourth overall) by the Portland Trail Blazers that same year. He ranks #4 in the NBA in blocks and last season averaged 10.8 points per game. In playoffs ranks, he is #1 in the NBA in blocks. In 2007 Thomas formed the Tyrus Thomas Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk children in the Chicagoland area as well as his home state of Louisiana by funding educational and recreational programs. Thomas was named the Bulls Community Player of the Year this past April in recognition of his numerous philanthropic efforts. He was also nominated for the national Jefferson Award for Outstanding Public Service in August 2009.
